Whole School Recycling Action Day

A huge thank you to everyone who brought in recycling yesterday to help out with our whole school Waste Action Day. A special shout out to the Year 6 Students from Mrs Maisano’s class who showed up super early to help set up and to those who helped to stay and tidy up afterwards.

I would also like to thank Kelly in Waste Education at the City of Rockingham who helped with ideas for the day and assisted in organising the additional bins. Unfortunately due to a pole fire at the depot, Stan the Can was unable to make an appearance and has sincerely apologised for being unable to attend.

The morning was still a huge success with all six borrowed bins being filled, along with another two from our regular recycling stock. We received a number of old mobile phone to pass onto Mobile Muster which will now not make it to landfill, along with a number of used printer cartridges.
