2019 AVID Student Speaker

Just in case you were wondering if that was thunder you heard today – it most certainly was: the thunderous applause of 450 AVID teachers giving our 2019 AVID Student Speaker, Rori, a long and resounding standing ovation!

 

Rori brought everyone to their feet with tears in their eyes and joy in their hearts. Her speech was eloquent, confident, heartbreaking, hopeful and inspirational. 

 

Watched on by her brother and parents, Rori liberally sprinkled her very own brand of Makybe Magic throughout the room – we could not have been more proud!
