BASSA Interschool Swimming Carnival 2015
On Wednesday March 25, Makybe Rise Primary School made their debut at the BASSA Interschool Swimming Carnival. 35 students were chosen to represent Makybe Rise based on their swimming trials time. They were accompanied by Mr Mac, Mrs M and Mr Rijnhart to the outdoor pool at the Aqua Jetty. All students were fantastic on the day and Mrs McDonald was very impressed with our students’ cheering, sportsmanship and behaviour when she came down to cheer our swimmers on.
For a school’s first interschool swimming carnival we did very well. We came a very close third behind Baldivis Primary School, who finished 3 points in front of us with Settler’s Primary School winning the overall competition. All Makybe Rise swimmers swam their very best with a few standout performers on the day winning a medal.
