City of Rockingham’s Act Belong Commit Banner Competition

Congratulations to Year One/Two, Room 42 and Year Six, Room 17, who represented Makybe Rise in the City of Rockingham’s Act Belong Commit Banner Competition and won in the Upper Primary category!!

And as if that wasn’t awesome enough, the banner was also chosen as the winner of the overall Creative Excellence Award!!

The theme for the banner this year was ‘Safety Starts with You’ and after researching the topic, the classes decided on a road safety theme because it is important for both children and adults.

The students enjoyed working with Artist-in-Residence, Jacq Chorlton to create the winning masterpiece. Please visit Read Street in Rockingham during the school holidays to see all of the school banners hanging on display.
