March Munch

March Munch

Throughout the month of March students at Makybe Rise participated in March Munch. March Munch is a Cancer Council WA initiative that involved students challenging themselves to eat vegetables more regularly for Crunch and Sip.

We saw so many students bring in such an amazing array of vegetables for their crunch and sip. Students each kept a tally of how many times they brought in vegetables and these tallies were totalled at the end of the month.

The health team was also on the lookout for a class that was consistently munching on vegetables throughout the month and trying some new vegetables. This class would win an awesome vegetable platter to share.

Congratulations to the winning class Year 1 – Room 15. Each day in March more than half the class were eating vegetables and on one fantastic day, 19 out of 22 students had vegetables to snack on. Fantastic effort!

On the last day of Term 1 they were rewarded with a huge, healthy platter of vegetables.

We hope everyone keeps crunching on those tasty vegetables!
