Modern Language Teacher Association Awards
On Monday the 28th October, the annual Modern Language Teacher Association awards ceremony took place.
This year, Makybe Rise had seven students enter two different competitions, showing off their languages skills, with two of them being successful and coming second in their age group. Unfortunately, one of the two was not able to make it to the presentation.
In addition to this amazing effort, Mrs McDonald was also acknowledged, being shortlisted for the MLTAWA Principals Award, as an outstanding principal who supports the language program here at Makybe Rise. Even though Mrs McDonald did not win the award, she was being recognizing as an exceptional leader who has been instrumental in the success of German at Makybe Rise Primary School.
